Tuesday started off early with a ride to Rice's Flea Market which has been in operation since 1860 with over 700 vendors. Peddlers Village has over 70 specialty shops and 5 restaurants. One such restaurant should be in the Guinness Book of World Records for slowest presentment of a check! Our "On-Your-Own Day had people touring Philadelphia, Kayaking in Peace Valley, Tubing Down the Delaware, exploring local vineyards, riding historic Railroads or just sitting around. We spent a fantastic day at Washington's Crossing Historic Park the site where General Washington took his Army and crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Eve. to surprise the British who were encamped in the Trenton, NJ area. Henry C. Mercer was a famous individual in Doylestown and we had the opportunity to tour his rather eclectic home and the Mercer Museum, the Moravian Pottery & Tile Works.
