Tuesday brought us to Yorktown, Va where we toured the City on the Yorktown Trolly, explored the colonial buildings and the river beach front as well as the NPS Yorktown Battlefield and Museum. Many visitors found their way to the restaurants that lined to water-front. The Water Street Grill's patio was a great spot for lunch and relief from the heat of the day. Wednesday we held a Maloney Golf Tournament on the Golden Horseshoe Spotswood Course.
Congratulations to the winning Team of Denise Muench, John Packer, Craig Denis and led by Thomas "The Tiger" Maloney. A fun time was had by all. Later that evening we attended a Murder Mystery: Curse of the Witch Bottle at the Art Museum of Colonial Williamsburg. Thursday many of us volunteered at Williamsburg Community Growers where we helped weed, prep planting beds and picked vegatables. WE left feeling fullfilled (and sweaty)! The rest of the day was free to do what we wished. Friday was a trip to the U.S. Army Transportation Museum at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, VA and a great luch at Mission BBQ. Saturday it was FAREWELL till next time!
