The Maloney Reunion headed to Pittsburgh, PA. for our biennial gathering in July. We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites in McCandless Crossing, a suburb of Pittsburgh. 2019 marked a special reunion as we were encamped in the family matriarch's stomping grounds. We were able to combine the Maloney and the Songer families. It has been a long time since so many family members were able to be together and the conversations, catching up on everyone's lives, the fun and the games were priceless. Our picnic was held under some stormy skies at North Park. We had a shelter and plenty of fold up chairs to accomadate all the folks. LL Bean came and provided a smart phone photography clinic. Picked up some good tips to more effectively use the camera on our phones. Let's see: Rock Climbing, Canoeing, Shooting Skills, Fly Fishing & Smart Phone Photography. The Adventurous Spirit in us picked Smart Phone Photography! While some rain fell and the cooks got a little wet a grand time was had by all. Monday we set out to discover Pittsburgh with the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus. Our first stop was to tour the Three Rivers by boat with the Gateway Clipper Fleet. Fantastic view of the city from the water. Heinz Factory, Mr. Rodgers Memorial, Heinz Field, PNC Park, Submarine and maybe a sunken B-52! We can now spell Monongahela, Allegheny & Ohio.
